My Bio
Welcome one and all to the MYSTERIOUS MASQUERADE! We have masks for all occasions, masquerade balls, wedding halls, a night out, a night in (wink!), fairs, festivals, parties, carnivals, or wanton merrymaking.

Effigy Masks make great gifts! Who wants something that you'll outgrow, or something electronic that will be obsolete, or a mass produced something that everyone else has?!?! You can get that special someone a piece of art that is both wearable and displayable with an Effigy Mask! To see more masks or to order a custom-made mask, visit this www.effigymasks.com

At Effigy Masks, all masks are designed and created by Seattle artist E Miller. Every mask is unique and handpainted, some have rich fabrics and trims, some buttons and beautiful embellishments! Effigy strives for the highest in quality and customer service, matching mask photo samples as close as possible while maintaining the standard of individuality within each mask. A hard task indeed!

Updates! Blushing Bride Mask  (http://fav.me/d466v91) I completed my first Venetian style Macrame mask this week!  For most people, this is no accomplishment to be bragging about.  For traditional styled mask makers, the macrame mask is the pentacle of technique and style!  First you apply the macrame lace in a way that looks effortless, as though you had a single piece of fabric (even though you're cobbling together many different pieces).  Then you paint the whole mask with a couple coats of your base color.  The entire mask is coated with porcelain glaze, which with time and heat starts to show fine porcelain cracks
