Mask-Cosecha

Name: Cosecha, Spanish for "Harvest." In the style of Catrina, a female archetype for the weeping lady during the Mexican festival for Dia de los Muertos, or the day of the dead celebrated Nov1-Nov2.

Handmade paper mache eyemask hand painted with half circle motif, high gloss varnish, raised crown headpiece with burnt/painted autumn colored silk roses, red velvet backed headpiece, and black rose lace that extends almost down to waist. The mask face, head piece, roses, and lace are all one connected piece. Elastic band holds mask on securely and comfortably, and interior is lined with black felt strips for further comfort. This mask is a one of a kind art piece meant to be worn or displayed and will not be created again in the exact same way.
